Greetings my esteemed friends,

I will begin this article by first apologizing to my friends, fans, well-wishers and my tribe for not being able to write last week. I already have an idea of what to write but I couldn’t due to circumstances beyond my control. Anyway, I’m happy to be back again.  I’m quite assured we have adjusted to the New Year which offers to bring in good tidings.

I don’t really know what you are currently doing and aspiring to do with your life especially in 2019, neither do I know what you are currently facing. Regardless of what’s going on in your life, my message to you today is “inspire your world” with your lifestyle. One question I normally ask friends and my audience whenever I have the opportunity to interact with them is what do you want to be remembered for when you leave this world? Alternatively, what legacy would you like to leave on the sand of time? To the extent you haven’t thought about it, this is a question you should always ponder about always. By so doing it will help you to know how you can inspire your world.

In our quest to live a successful life, we may have passed through one challenge or the other. This challenge might be in form of finance, career, health, family, business, faith-based, academic or even personal challenge that you wouldn’t want to share to the public until the appropriate time when you feel it is right to do the needful. We have heard and seen a lot of great people who have inspired the world with their lifestyle based on their personal experience, vocation, and passion. Some of the notable names that come to mind as great minds you have truly inspired the world are Mother Theresa, Abraham Lincoln, Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King, Oprah Winfrey, Nelson Mandela and a host of other great people.

We live in a digital world where everything seems to be moving at the speed of light. In our contemporary society where innovation seems to be the new trend of the day. Reminisce back to the 19th and 20th century and compare the trend of infrastructural developments in the global world,  leadership, style/fashion, and innovations in terms of communications and stem education to what we have now.  These innovations didn’t come up on its own, they were made based on the works of other great people. According to a great philosopher “Rosa Parks crawled so that Martin Luther King can work, Martin Luther King walked so that Barack Obama can fly. The message here is that each of these great people inspired their generations in addition to building a platform for others to walk on and today they are fondly remembered for the good works they did for humanity.

The big question now is how do you inspire your world? Inspiring your world isn’t a difficult task as opposed to the thinking of many people. You don’t need to have all the ideas and money to inspire your world. All that is needed is the heart of service and passion for whatever makes you happy. It’s instructive to know that its passion IN whatever you do that brings perfection in workplace environment. You can inspire your world with your gift, skill, knowledge and even using your humble self to teach the world about the healthy way of living just like Mother Theresa thought us.  Also worthy of mention is Bill Gate who is using his foundation to end polio while empowering humanity with education.

Great men are people who do ordinary things in an extraordinary manner. Great men and women are truly great people who have really inspired their world. Despite any challenges they may have faced, they know that challenges are part of the sacrifice they have to go through in order to be successful. They also know that “champions keep playing until they get it right”. Inspiring your world doesn’t come easy because of the challenges that may arise from passion. You may have had humble beginnings which may have affected your psychology of life, but it’s very important to know that, it doesn’t matter where you are coming from, all that matters is where you are going. To inspire your world, you need integrity and character. This is because as a progressive leader, you are bound to have a lot of followers who derive inspiration from what you do.

An advantage of inspiring your world is that it gives you happiness and fulfillment. Nothing gives joy and fulfillment in life than achieving your dreams. According to Dalai Lama “Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your actions”. Living the world better than you met it is one of the hallmarks of life. As mentioned earlier, most of the accomplishments and innovations the world has ever enjoyed were made by the inspirations of other great men and ladies and these contemporary innovations were made possible based on the already established platform and works of other great people, and it is in the same manner  other emerging innovation will be built to develop what has already been established.  The moral here is that just like mentors are truly happy seeing their mentees surpassing their works, in same vein parents and great achievers are happy seeing the platform they laid for younger generations to thrive.

In conclusion, it’s important to know that we all have one thing or the other to give to the world and the onus is on us to give a lasting legacy for the world to remember us. You may have experienced one form of challenge or another in your pursuit of inspiring the world, but the most inspiring challenge is the challenge we give our self by way of competing with our individual self to be better than what we were yesterday as opposed to competing with other people. As you go about your individual lives/business, always have at the back of your mind, whatever you do should be to inspire those coming after you. So don’t feel or think you don’t have anything to give to the world. We all have something to give. It can be the little things of life which can be laying the brick for a house to be built, volunteering your time or serving in an organization or even church. You don’t need to have money to inspire people, though money can be relative in serving the world just like Tony Elumelu is currently doing to empower young an emerging Africans with great ideas. You don’t need to be a doctor, lawyer, accountant, or Minister in the temple of God before you can inspire your tribe. You can be an artisan or the lowliest man in an organization and at the same time doing the most amazing work which can literally turn out to be the most important part of the work. If you think you don’t have anything to offer to the world, please remember the words of Mohammad Ali “The man who has no imagination has no wings”
